We have an exciting opportunity for Actuarial Analyst to join our Sydney based team on a permanent full-time basis. The Actuarial Analyst will provide actuarial, analytical and technical support to the Actuarial Results team.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support the delivery of:
* Consolidated valuation results from Consumer, Commercial, Workers’ Compensation and CTP.
* Monthly Actuarial Results including accounting journals for Finance
* Quarterly and Annual APRA forms
* Consolidated Actuarial Valuation Reports for AAI
* Risk Margin and Claims Handling Expense Reviews
Actuarial, analytical and technical support includes:
* Data preparation, validation and analysis
* Design or assessment of the reasonableness and suitability of models and results prepared
* Documentation of processes, analysis and investigations undertaken
* Preparation of reports to present results.
What you’ll bring
* Relevant degree in Statistics, Actuarial, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics and Computer Science related field – Mandatory
* Progression through Part I and II Actuarial Exams – Desired
* Knowledge of spreadsheet modelling (Excel) and data extraction (SQL or SAS) preferred
* Strong analytical aptitude
* Work as a team member and communicate effectively (oral & written)
* Can work independently/limited guidance to meet the deliverables
