This is a newly created position within Built By HausRestoration Pty Ltdas we continue to expand our new insurance restoration division. The role offers a unique opportunity for someone with an entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys building systems, improving processes, and helping shape a growing part of the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make the role their own, bring new ideas to the table, and help develop a strong restoration operation within the company. Key Responsibilities
1. Project & Job Management
* Plan and manage restoration projects including budgets, timelines, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
* Coordinate technicians, trades and suppliers to ensure projects run efficiently and profitably.
* Coordinate and organise emergency make-safe works where required to secure properties following an insured event.
* Engage and manage appropriate trades to carry out make-safe measure
* Monitor job costs and identify variations or unforeseen works early to maintain project profitability.
* Review and approve subcontractor, supplier, and hire invoices.
* Ensure purchase orders and subcontract agreements are issued accurately and on time.
* Work closely with estimators, supervisors, and internal teams to deliver projects successfully.
* Maintain detailed job records and documentation.
2. Client & Stakeholder Communication
* Maintain regular communication with insurers, loss adjusters, strata managers, and other stakeholders.
* Provide updates on project progress, variations, and any issues or complaints.
* Ensure Built By Haus restoration meets client KPIs and service expectations.
3. Safety & Compliance
* Identify and manage site safety risks prior to and during projects.
* Ensure all required safety documentation and procedures are completed before works commence.
* Conduct safety audits and ensure subcontractors follow WHS requirements.
* Record and address any safety breaches in accordance with company procedures.
4. Systems & Job Management Software
* Use and maintain company systems such as Prime, Encircle and other company systems.
* Ensure accurate project documentation, job costing, photos, and work orders are uploaded.
* Assist in improving processes, trade rates, scopes of work, and system efficiencies.
5. Administration & Team Support
* Assist with administrative tasks and training of new staff where required.
* Maintain accurate records across SharePoint, Prime, and other systems.
6. Complaints & Issue Resolution
* Review and manage client complaints professionally.
* Escalate issues to management when necessary.
7. Business Development
* Identify and pursue potential new business opportunities through industry relationships and project work.
Additional Requirements
* Attend weekly management meetings to review project costs, timelines, and performance.
* Manage workload independently once trained.
* Occasional regional or interstate travel may be required.
* Candidates with established relationships with insurers, loss adjusters, and industry stakeholders who are able to generate or influence work opportunities will be viewed favourably.
Qualifications:
* Must hold current IICRC certifications in 2-3 of the below:
o FSRT – Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician
o ASD – Applied Structural Drying
