**About the role**
The Patient Experience Lead role is one that is customer focused and passionate about delivering a great customer experience every day and making a difference to patient outcomes.
This position is responsible for enhancing effective patient and carer communication, particularly between the patient, carer and clinical staff. The focus of the role is improving the experience for patients and carers located in the waiting room of the Emergency Department.
Bathurst Hospital is located 3 hours west of Sydney over the Blue Mountains. It is a University City, has good transport services throughout the city, buses, trains and airplanes with regular connections to Sydney then interstate. Large sporting complexes, great restaurants, recreational activities and facilities. Surgical Ward is a busy 15 bed (with capacity to surge to 22 beds), range of surgery performed including general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, some ENT and urology, major referral hospital within 45 minutes of facility. The hospital has an ED, Level 4 ICU, Level 4 maternity services, paediatrics services, medical unit with telemetry and palliative care beds, Rehabilitation unit onsite, and TACP beds, large inpatient and outpatient Allied Health support and expanding Ambulatory Care and HITH services. Educational support is available to staff, enthusiastic and supportive team on the ward, looking for interested and keen staff member to join our team.
