Adviser, Program Design & Delivery * Salary: $100,894 - $114,476 (Plus Superannuation) * Fixed term role: 1 year * Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) * Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available) The Role The Adviser plays an important role in developing and delivering programs that invest in Victoria's independent artists and creatives — to drive a thriving creative economy and deliver a wide range of creative opportunities and experiences that benefit all Victorians. Main accountabilities: * Support the design and delivery of grants programs, strategic projects, developing project plans, and managing risks and issues so that unit objectives are delivered on time and to a high standard. * Provide expert advice on current and potential issues, resolves operational service delivery problems consistent with program objectives and actively drives a continuous improvement approach to policy delivery, program design, processes and systems. * Negotiates and manages straight forward, corporate contracts and service agreements. * Contribute to the development of internal and external communications, develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, provide relevant information about the unit's direction, issues, identified risks and requirements to ensure appropriate information flow, and gain cooperation and influence views on a wide variety of matters. The Team The position of Adviser, Program Design & Delivery forms a part of the Policy and Delivery branch within the Creative Victoria group. Creative Victoria is the state government body dedicated to championing, growing and supporting Victoria's creative industries, and the benefits they bring to Victorians. About You The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience: * Communicate with Impact: Prepares and delivers logical and succinct presentations; Uses clear and concise language; Uses media appropriate to the audience and presents information to develop the understanding of the topic. * Project Delivery: Defines tasks to be delivered to meet agreed outcomes; Coordinates and guides others in the execution of work activities; Monitors progress of tasks against plans and takes corrective action when required. * Interpersonal Skills: Understands motivations, needs and wants of stakeholders and their impact on service delivery. * Critical Thinking and Problem Solving: Resolves issues through deep understanding/interpretation of existing guidelines. Where guidelines aren't available, analyses ideas available and takes action including in consultation with others to resolve problems.
