Our Client is a well renowned Health organisation located in Melbournes Eastern Suburbs. The Procurement function in this business has a strong team based culture, built on trust and commercial delivery.
Due to a recent increase in projects across the business and within high priority areas of the organisation, we are searching for a Procurement professional with experience in delivering complex procurement projects across Capital Projects including Construction, Refurbishments, FFE and Medical Equipment.
ROLE As the Procurement Category Manager, you will be engaging with the whole business to support and deliver procurement events that focus on value and service delivery which will benefit the patients of this organisation.
This business is going through some key changes across the organisation which are high priority and require support outside of the day to day procurement pipeline. This means that the candidate that is successful for this role will be engaging with a number of senior stakeholders within the business and be driving through these processes autonomously but with the support of the GM Procurement.
Projects within scope of this role will vary between simple and not so straight forward tender projects. Some will be to direct negotiate to closed tender whilst others will be end to end and may involve senior stakeholder management.
Specifically, you will:
* Run end to end sourcing events including specification development, tender management, evaluation, negotiation and contract implementation
* Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders internally to assure strong delivery to the business and develop longer term strategies
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The successful candidate for this role will have been successful in delivering complex sourcing processes and have exposure to working with senior stakeholders involved in the projects. This person will be able to operate autonomously but also be able to work in tandem with the GM Procurement from a high level to make sure you are aligned to the businesses strategy.
We would like someone who is well presented, professional and can self-manage complex and high risk commercial projects to completion without too much guidance. Prior experience working in public sector and in health is preferred, but not mandatory. We need someone who can discover, design, develop and deploy solutions (mostly commercial in nature and resulting in contracts) to enterprise problems in collaboration with senior internal stakeholders.
* 5+ years experience in a Procurement role with similar experience
* Category exposure across Capital Projects including Construction, Refurbishments, FFE and Medical Equipment
* High energy, results driven mentality and ability to work autonomously
* Experience within NFP, Health, Government or Service based businesses preferred
* Good stakeholder management capability
