Let's be honest—most accountant ads read the same.
Beige on beige.
Well this isn't one of them.
Here's the headline.
The salary is one to make you look twice.
Metro salary in regional NSW.
As for the business?
Private. Proud. Family-owned.
One of the big names in Australian wine.
The finance team is small but mighty.
No office politics. Just people who quietly get it done and get it done well.
This role?
It's the sort of spot people land in and stay because the size of the business puts you close to the big decisions, with exposure that stretches across every corner of the operation.
The numbers you'll be responsible for?
They steer business decisions. Shape strategy and literally keep the lights on.
You'll report to the Financial Controller, but you won't be sitting around waiting for instructions.
You'll take ownership of the month-end process, group consolidations, external audits, budgeting, forecasting, tax, treasury, compliance, and everything in between.
There's structure, sure.
But there's also space for initiative, improvement, and for someone to really take the financial reins without needing constant oversight.
And you won't be buried in the back office.
This role touches everything from production to leadership.
You'll also have junior accountants in your corner.
They're smart, solid, and appreciate a leader who gives direction without micro-managing every keystroke.
You'll thrive on sharing your knowledge and bringing them along for the journey, being a true mentor for their professional development.
Now, let's talk about you.
You've been around the block.
You understand month-end, year-end, audits and everything that happens in between.
You know what a clean set of accounts looks like.
You speak fluent ATO, ASIC, and ACCC.
And you're comfortable making sense of variance reports, forecasts, cash flow, and production costing.
If you've worked in manufacturing, you'll get a running start.
What we require is someone who holds a CPA and has worked within a management accounting position.
Sound like the kind of role you've been holding out for?
Let's talk.
