Our client, a vertically integrated national horticultural business, is seeking a hands-on Assistant Farm Manager to support the day-to-day running of a large-scale horticultural operation in Katherine.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow their leadership capability in the horticultural sector. You'll work alongside the Farm Manager, helping deliver strong performance, lead teams, and keep operations running smoothly from planting through to harvest.
What you'll be doing
* Supporting the Farm Manager in day-to-day farm operations
* Coordinating crop production activities from planting to harvest
* Leading and supervising permanent and seasonal staff
* Ensuring safe work practices and smooth team performance
* Maintaining equipment, infrastructure and farm assets
* Supporting planning, logistics and operational systems
* Monitoring productivity, quality and operational targets
What we're looking for
* Experience in horticulture or tree crop production
* Natural leadership ability and confidence supervising teams
* Practical, hands-on approach with strong work ethic
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced seasonal environment
* Current driver's licence
