Job Opportunity
We are seeking a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team. Our organisation supports over 10,000 participants every year with the care they need, when and where it is needed.
As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will provide supports to NDIS participants living in various regions, including assessing and developing person-centred plans to identify their needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting NDIS participants, along with their families and/or carers, to evaluate, develop and deliver evidence-based support plans within a complex support space.
* Developing meaningful goals and practical strategies as per the positive behaviour support framework,with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community.
* Ensuring individual plans reflect participants' goals, passions and strengths.
* Building the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support participants in their lives - family, carers, friends, etc.
* Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including mentoring less experienced Behaviour Support Practitioners.

Requirements
* Completed a degree level qualification as an allied health professional is desired.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
* Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
* Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
