About The Role
As a Senior Associate on the ANZ International New Verticals S&O team, you will be responsible for improving the cost efficiency and order quality across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, and Retail verticals. Your role involves defining go-to-market strategies, launching and managing cost and quality initiatives, and analyzing data to identify trends that inform operational and product strategies. You will collaborate with various cross-functional teams.
Specifically, you will drive local experimentation to enhance the order experience and delivery efficiency, provide insights to merchants on error reduction and fee optimization, and support the rollout of new product and logistics features. You will monitor performance metrics, identify root causes of issues, and develop action plans. Collaboration with account management, product, engineering, finance, and operational teams is essential.
You will report to the ANZ New Verticals General Manager.
Responsibilities
* Strategize: Develop the optimal cost and quality strategy for the business from first principles.
* Operate: Manage tracking dashboards and weekly metrics to ensure high-quality operations.
* Analyze: Use Excel and SQL to evaluate costs and benefits of programs and experiments.
* Experiment: Transform strategies into operational experiments with measurable outcomes.
* Build: Launch new products, improve daily, and scale new initiatives, from strategy to operational details.
* Lead, Collaborate, Influence: Partner with cross-functional teams to build and scale the business.
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years of experience in analytical, cross-functional environments (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, etc.).
* Self-starter with a bias for action, thriving in fast-paced, changing environments.
* Problem solver capable of synthesizing complex problems and translating goals into actionable plans.
* Strong data skills, comfortable operating at both high and detailed levels.
* Ownership mindset, seeking continuous improvement and accountability.
* Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change, excited by learning and innovation.
