Step into a leadership role with real scope to influence how the City's buildings are planned, maintained and improved. You will lead a diverse building portfolio, shaping decisions, enhancing performance and embedding a more strategic, future-focused approach to facilities management.
This role plays a critical part in strengthening service delivery, improving performance and influencing long-term asset outcomes.
Key accountabilities
* Provide leadership, direction and support to team members, fostering a high performing, accountable and collaborative culture aligned with City values and continuous improvement.
* Strategic leadership and oversight of Building Asset Management Plan delivery, ensuring lifecycle principles inform prioritisation, risk management, and long term financial planning.
* Oversee building inspection programs, preventative and reactive maintenance, minor works project delivery and renewal planning.
* Manage facilities and maintenance service contracts, ensuring effective governance, performance monitoring, compliance and value for money outcomes.

Position requirements
You are a capable and experienced leader with a strong background in facilities, asset and/or project management. You bring a strategic mindset, sound judgement and the ability to translate strategy into practical outcomes that improve service delivery and asset performance.
You are confident leading people, making decisions and navigating complexity, with well developed analytical, problem solving skills with a strong understanding of contract governance.
We welcome applications from professionals with relevant qualifications or equivalent experience, including those bringing transferable skills and the ability to influence outcomes across a complex service environment. Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City.
Remuneration and benefits
A salary ranging from $126,622 to $135,470 per annum will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
