Road Labourer with MR Licence | Council Crew
Our client is seeking experienced Road Labourers to join their team.
Hours: 6:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday at the Wilberforce depot | 9 day fortnight (every 2nd Friday off)
DUTIES
* Repair potholes and maintain roads
* Assist with safety fencing and guard rails
* Trim trees and shrubs around roads
* Road maintenance and patching, heavy patching and erection of guideposts, signs, guard rails and safety fencing
* Concrete works – prepare formwork, pour, finish, strip and backfill
* Drains construction – prepare bedding, lay, grout, backfill pipes and construct pits
* Drains maintenance – clear pipe inlets/outlets and clean pits
* Carry out sight clearing (scrub cutting)
* Traffic coordination and control at sites
* Complete timesheets and other basic documentation as required
* Operate minor plant (chainsaw, jackhammer, plate compactor, concrete saw, ride‐on mower, small roller)
* Hand excavation as required (footpath repairs, removal of tree root)
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* MR Licence
* WHS White Card
* Physically fit
* Able to pass a criminal check
* 2 contactable work reference checks
