Beverage Service Role Overview
This is a service-oriented role that requires providing excellent customer experience to casino guests. The primary focus is on delivering high-quality beverage services in a professional and efficient manner.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Taking orders from guests, entering them into the point-of-sale system, and retrieving drinks for service.
* Collecting completed orders from bartenders and/or kitchen staff and serving them to guests.
* Computing bills, accepting payments, and making change as required.
* Maintaining knowledge of state, federal, and local liquor regulations regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages.
* Removing empty or dirty glasses, bottles, and/or serviceware and returning them to the bar or kitchen area for cleaning.
* Regularly checking with guests to provide additional service and replenish beverages as requested.
* Cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products according to health and safety standards.
* Participating in training sessions, safety meetings, and departmental gatherings as scheduled.
* Providing exceptional guest service and adhering to established Guest Service Standards.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
* A minimum age requirement of 21 years.
* A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational qualification.
* Completion of Food Handler or ServSafe certification and Responsible Alcohol Service certification or proof of current certification.
* The ability to read and write English sufficiently to understand menus, promotions, take orders, and communicate with guests.
* The ability to remember and recite menu items and special promotions.
* Cash-handling experience.
* The ability to learn and operate the point-of-sale system.
* The capacity to transport trays of beverages through a crowded environment throughout your shift.
* A clean and well-groomed appearance at all times.
* Sound judgment and organization skills.
* Passing a mandatory drug test.
* Obtaining a valid gaming license.
* Providing evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
