Position Overview
This is a senior sales role focused on building strategic partnerships with industry leaders.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in alliance and indirect sales management roles, as well as a deep understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
* Build strong relationships with IHV partners at all levels
* Grow awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu among these partners
* Negotiate contracts and commercial business terms
* Lead partnerships in various regions including APAC, EMEA, and Americas
About the Role
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management to deliver on targets and objectives.
* Travel regularly - sometimes internationally - to drive partnerships in person
* Lead executive interlocks between IHV and leadership teams
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles
* Absence of fear, autonomous, disciplined, hands-on, get-it-done mentality
* Ability to capture customer requirements, evaluate gaps, identify and create opportunities
* Passion for Ubuntu products and mission
* Comfortable in fast-paced environments with measurable goals
* Expertise in Linux, virtualization, containers, and other cloud technologies
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
