Our local Government client is seeking an experienced Customer Relations Officer to join their team on a full-time casual basis, providing essential coverage while a team member is on Long Service Leave. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, thrives on being the first point of contact, and is confident managing a busy switchboard.
About the Role
The primary responsibility for this assignment will be switchboard operations using a simple and user-friendly system. You will be the welcoming voice, ensuring all calls are handled professionally and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer and direct incoming telephone enquiries.
* Transfer calls and take clear, accurate messages as required.
* Provide customers with up-to-date information about programs and services.
* Offer guidance on locating information and navigating their website.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who has:
* The ability to commence in the role from the beginning of April 2026.
* Previous experience operating a switchboard or multi-line phone system.
* Strong customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
* Confidence handling a high volume of calls with professionalism and ease.
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly, helpful manner.
* The ability to quickly learn systems and follow procedures.
