Are you a Licensed Security Officer with a technical mindset who enjoys working in a structured and professional monitoring environment?
We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Security Monitoring Control Room in Perth's southern suburbs. In this role, you will play a vital part in protecting a wide range of client sites through accurate alarm monitoring, clear and professional communication, and strict adherence to established procedures. This position suits someone who is attentive, disciplined, and confident working with technology in a control room environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and respond to alarm activations in accordance with established procedures using industry-standard automation software.
* Assess events and take appropriate action based on client instructions and legislative requirements.
* Handle inbound calls and manage enquiries in a calm, professional manner.
* Manage email communications with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Accurately maintain records, logs, and database entries in real time.
* Generate clear and detailed reports relating to monitoring activities and incidents.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and professional control room environment.
Requirements
* Current WA Security Licence.
* Technically minded, with the ability to quickly learn and operate new systems.
* Ability to work independently while strictly following established procedures.
* Strong attention to detail with effective time management skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Sound understanding of security monitoring procedures.
* Knowledge of Contact ID signalling and alarm monitoring operations (highly regarded).
* Fluent in conversational and written English.
* Eligible for permanent employment in Australia with no restrictions on working hours.
* Flexible availability to work shifts of up to 12 hours, across a 24/7 roster including weekends and public holidays.
Desirable Skills
* Previous experience in a call centre, emergency communications, or alarm monitoring environment.
* Experience using alarm monitoring or automation software.
* A clear understanding of the operational differences between a security monitoring centre and a patrol or guarding control room.
