About The Role
Operating within Computer Science and Data Science, the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer is a key academic role. It involves teaching innovations, curriculum development, delivery, coordination, assessment of undergraduate and postgraduate units, academic governance, and contribution to accreditation and program review. The role also requires high-quality research and outstanding teaching experience in areas such as operating systems, computer networks, software engineering, game development, emerging technologies (digital twins, quantum computing), big data, cloud technologies, and responsible innovation (cybersecurity, digital trust).
Responsibilities
Develop, deliver, coordinate and assess units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Participate in academic governance, administrative and advisory roles.
Contribute to accreditation and review of existing programs.
Conduct high-quality research in Computer Science/Data Science disciplines.
Provide mentorship and supervision to staff.
Qualifications & Experience
Academic qualification at minimum of PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Demonstrated excellence in teaching at university level.
Strong research record with relevant publications.
Experience in curriculum development and assessment.
Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
What We Offer
Competitive salary: $142,635 – $168,220 total remuneration (pro-rata) per annum, plus superannuation contributions and leave loading.
