We are seeking APS5 equivalent Software Developers to fill multiple positions in accordance to our Federal Government client needs. A merit pool will be created for future positions that may arise.
About the organisation
Our client is a stand only agnecy of the Federal Government that supports Australia national interest against global threats and advances those interests through the provision of intelligence, cyber security and offensive cyber operations as directed by the Australian Government.
Please Note: Candidates submitted must have either, NV1, NV2 and PV. Candidates selected must hold a current AGSVA clearance to commence to contract.
Software Developers deliver innovative capabilities by developing and integrating software, documenting technical processes and assisting with testing and deployment.
Our cleint expects the candidates will be able to lead and manage system administrative support activities in a key capability domain, and be able to contribute in a complex business environment, which is in an emerging domain and operates at a rapid pace.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Design, build, integrate, deliver and document software capability that meets business requirements.
* Escalate issues and seek advice from team leader or project manager in a timely manner.
* Document technical processes in accordance with organisational policies and procedures and promote bi-directional knowledge transfer within a team environment.
* Assist with automation capability for existing systems and integrate Commercial Off-The-Shelf and Government Off-The-Shelf software.
* Monitor systems and infrastructure; provide assistance with support requests to fix and troubleshoot issues.
* Implement and maintain automated testing. Provide feedback on implementation and design aspects as required from other areas.
* Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures and produce documentation, including detailed design documentation.
Technical skills
* Experience in development languages/frameworks such as Python, Java, Java Messaging Service, Javascript/Typescript, J2EE, RESTful web services, Django and Ruby, Kubernetes, OpenShift.
* Experience in or knowledge of Puppet, Ansible and Docker automation tools.
