Join our hospital in East Suffolk as a Consultant Geriatrician
About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate candidate to join our department of Older People's Medicine as a substantive consultant. This is a full-time opportunity, but we also consider part-time and flexible working arrangements.
* This is an exciting time to join us, with plans for implementing Epic, a new electronic health record system.
Main duties:
* The successful candidate will lead ward rounds on our virtual ward, supported by junior doctors. They may act as clinical supervisor for the team.
* The post holder will have scheduled time working in the Emergency Department, completing frailty assessments of patients at the front door. These patients can then be seen in FAB (Frailty Assessment Base) while listed on the timetable – actual sessions may vary weekly due to cross-cover included in PA calculation.
