Role Specifics
When the role is responsible for managing the full end-to-end payroll and associated processes and being the key point of contact for any payroll queries. You will ensure compliance with policies, Awards, and legislation while maintaining accurate records, systems, and reporting to support smooth financial operations.
Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the assigned region.
Maintain and reconcile payroll records, accounts, and statutory obligations including tax, superannuation, portable long service leave and leave entitlements.
Process employee lifecycle changes (new starters, terminations, variations, and leave) in line with Awards, agreements, and legislation.
Provide payroll reporting, respond to queries, and build strong relationships with employees and regional teams.
Support audits, system improvements, compliance checks, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding company values and WHS standards
Requirements
Certificate IV in Accounting or higher.
Extensive recent experience in payroll in construction or engineering sectors.
You'll have a strong attention to detail with an analytical approach to problem-solving.
Proven ability to maintain and improve systems and processes.
Proficient in relevant software applications.
Excellent numeracy, literacy, resilience and professional communication skills with all stakeholders.
