Our client, NQENT is seeking a Full-time Senior Medical Administrator to replace a long‐term staff member. Established in 2017, Dr Shane Anderson is committed to delivering exceptional care for Queenslanders with ENT conditions from the Torres Strait and Gulf, west to the NT border and down to the Central Highlands. This vacancy is full-time, working with a long‐term team 8.30 am–4.30/5 pm Monday to Friday and rotating Saturday mornings. However, on occasions, a late‐night finish may be required and rostered amongst the team. This private practice is based in Townsville and offers onsite parking. This position will commence ASAP!

This role will include the following Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of clinics, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in service delivery.
* Use knowledge of Medicare to process patient consultations using EFTPOS and receipt Medicare claims as required.
* Ensure a high standard of patient care and satisfaction across all clinics, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally, and building an experience where patients actually enjoy seeing the doctor.
* Manage patient billing, payment collection and stock management. Payroll duties will also be included (training provided).
* Liaise with clinic specialists to meticulously ensure patient priority of scheduling and using PA skills and theatre list management. Liaise with GPs, medical specialists, patients, and other stakeholders to foster a collaborative patient experience and positive work environment.
* Build relationships with new referrers.
To be considered, we are seeking applications from candidates who offer:
* Minimum 2 years in a Medical Administrator role highly regarded.
* Experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel and Outlook) and Medical Software (Genie ideal).
* Previous experience in a surgical practice will be viewed favourably.
* Advanced customer service skills and enthusiasm for health and patient care.
* Previous experience supervising a small team viewed favourably but not essential.
* Flexibility to work 1 late night per fortnight – shared amongst the team.
Hours:
This role is full‐time, working 8.30 am–4.30/5 pm Monday to Friday. Saturday morning and late clinics will be rostered in advance as required.

Above award wages will be offered dependant on level of experience. Expected range $35–40 per hour plus Super.
