Job Description
The role of Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal part in ensuring daily site operations are carried out safely and efficiently to meet customer expectations.
* Manage daily site operations and staff.
* Optimise receival and shipping operations, cleaning and pest control activities.
* Co-ordinate the movement of commodities through the terminal.
This position requires strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and make informed decisions to drive business results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates will have prior management experience with an understanding of either port operations or experience in a supply chain environment. Additionally, they should display:
* Ability to liaise with customers and understand their requirements.
* An understanding of road, rail and shipping.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office programs.
* General knowledge and understanding of OH&S and Work Cover legislation.
* Experience in operating machinery is highly beneficial.
