Bendigo Advertiser is pleased to offer an exciting HR Graduate role.


Overview

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated HR Graduate to join our People team and gain hands‑on experience across a broad range of HR activities. This development role is designed to provide you with strong foundational HR experience and exposure to key areas including HR administration, employee lifecycle processes, systems, and projects. The role is key to ensuring our people processes run smoothly by supporting system improvements and delivering an exceptional employee experience. You'll work collaboratively with HR Business Partners, Coordinators, Recruitment, Payroll, and leaders across the business, giving you exposure to a wide range of HR functions and the opportunity to grow your skills in a professional, supportive environment. This role will be offered as a 12‑month fixed‑term (or short‑term) contract, with the possibility of review or extension at the end of the term. Full‑time or part‑time will also be considered.


What You'll Do

* Provide high‑quality administrative support across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding.
* Prepare and manage employment documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity across HR systems.
* Coordinate employee changes, reviews, and compliance activities in partnership with HR, Payroll, and leaders.
* Identify and support improvements to HR systems, processes, and reporting to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
* Assist with key People programs such as engagement surveys, workforce planning, remuneration reviews, and benefits initiatives.


About You

Recently completed or near completion of a tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline – desirable.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisation, with effective time management and prioritisation skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative and proactive team player with a positive attitude.

Proficient in MS Office and eager to learn HR systems, processes, and policies.

Genuine interest in building a career in HR and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Awareness of HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee data management.

Demonstrated initiative, problem‑solving ability, and willingness to take on new challenges.

Prior HR administrative experience and familiarity with HR systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, Dayforce) – desirable.
