Overview
Riverina Australia is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Procurement Manager to lead our Purchasing team and oversee the full procurement lifecycle. This role is pivotal in ensuring our supplier partnerships, inventory management, and procurement processes are not only cost effective and reliable but also aligned with our strategic objectives and continuous improvement culture. Based at our Head Office, this position provides leadership across supplier selection, contract negotiations, vendor analysis, and process optimisation, ensuring procurement excellence that directly supports Riverina's operational and business goals.
About You
You are an experienced procurement professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and brings a strategic mindset to supplier and cost management. You're commercially astute, an excellent communicator, and confident leading a team while also diving deep into data driven decision making.
Responsibilities
* Lead the end to end procurement function, including supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
* Authorise supply contracts, corrective actions, and supplier engagement strategies in line with company standards.
* Oversee tender preparation, proposals, contract execution, and supplier performance monitoring.
* Drive vendor analysis and cost reduction initiatives to improve overall efficiency.
* Manage ingredient sourcing for the manufacturing process, ensuring accuracy in pricing, stock levels, and timeframes.
* Implement reporting mechanisms for raw material usage and procurement metrics.
* Conduct technical and process analysis to identify improvements, advising senior management on strategies.
* Develop and implement innovative procurement tools and systems.
* Provide leadership and coaching to the Purchasing team, ensuring alignment with Riverina's values and performance standards.
Qualifications
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in purchasing and logistics, preferably within FMCG or multi-site manufacturing.
* Tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
* Proficiency in projecting commodity usage and financial outcomes through strong data and analytical skills.
* Strong business, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to influence and manage change.
* Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and stakeholders.
* Strong time management, attention to detail, and leadership capabilities.
