Position Summary
The Senior Designer plays a pivotal role in shaping and delivering collections that are both commercially strong and creatively compelling. This role is responsible for translating the brand's vision into cohesive, well‐executed ranges that remain true to our core DNA while introducing fresh, forward‐thinking design elements that excite and engage our customers.
Partnering closely with the Creative Director, the Senior Designer leads key stages of the design process, ensuring each collection aligns with brand direction, market relevance, and customer expectations. Working collaboratively with the wider team, this role champions excellence across design, fit, quality, and consistency, ensuring every garment meets the highest standards before reaching the customer.
The ideal candidate brings strong digital design capabilities, a refined understanding of the balance between creativity and commerciality, and a passion for delivering trend‐aware, high‐quality products that resonate with a loyal and growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and contribute to a collaborative design team environment, ensuring collections align with the direction developed in partnership with the Creative Director.
* Develop and execute seasonal design strategies, including concept development, mood boards, colour stories, fabrications, and key silhouettes.
* Lead the creation of signature prints, exclusive details, and design elements that reinforce the brand's identity and point of difference.
* Monitor emerging trends and interpret them in a way that feels relevant, wearable, and aligned with the brand's aesthetic.
* Balance creativity with commercial awareness, ensuring all designs are viable, scalable, and resonate with the target customer.
* Manage design critical paths and timelines to ensure collections are delivered on schedule and to brief.
* Drive operational efficiency within the design function, identifying smarter ways of working while maintaining pace and precision.
* Partner closely with production teams and suppliers to uphold quality, fit, and execution standards from development through to bulk.
* Oversee the sampling and fitting process, ensuring concepts translate seamlessly into refined, production‐ready garments.
* Maintain a strong understanding of customer behaviour, market shifts, and competitor activity to inform product decisions.
* Continuously review and improve design and development processes, with a focus on reducing sampling costs, waste, and inefficiencies.
* Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders, providing updates, feedback, and direction throughout the design cycle.
* Stay informed on seasonal colour trends, fabric innovations, and key design movements, incorporating them thoughtfully within the brand's DNA.
Key Requirements
* A minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior‐level fashion design role within a fast‐paced or growth‐focused brand.
* Strong technical expertise across the full design lifecycle, from initial concept and development through to final production handover.
* Proven ability to design and deliver cohesive seasonal collections, including prints, and detail‐driven, trend‐aware product.
* Highly developed organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines without compromising creativity or quality.
* Confident communicator and collaborative partner, comfortable working closely with a founder‐led or creatively driven business.
* Strong commercial and market awareness, with a deep understanding of fashion trends, customer behaviour, and brand positioning.
* Advanced proficiency in digital design tools and platforms, with the ability to work efficiently in a modern, digitally led design environment.
