**The Role**
Utilising traditional farming techniques and biological soil preparations the family operation has created a successful certified biodynamic Cattle and Cropping enterprise. A skilled farmhand with an interest in sustainable, biodynamic farming now has the prospect to join the established team, predominantly based on the property at Wellington, you will have the opportunity to work across the other properties during staff leave etc.
The primary property covers 1,000 Ha and rotationally grazes the 500 self-replacing Angus in addition to producing various crops (such as Wheat, Spelt etc) and Fodder pastures under centre pivot irrigation. Utilising your experience in previous farming roles you will be involved in all aspects of cattle husbandry including preventative methods and natural treatment, if necessary, as well as pasture management and cropping cycle requirements.
The machinery fleet features a number of unique pieces imported from Europe to assist with organic farming practices, applicants will have mechanical aptitude and be competent fencers. The property is still in the redevelopment phase with the infrastructure plan still being undertaken.

Applicants with previous cattle and cropping experience with an interest in organics and biodynamic farming techniques with the following attributes are encouraged to apply:
- Competent in all aspects of animal husbandry
- Knowledge of the cropping cycle and soil health
- Machinery operation experience
- Mechanical aptitude & fabrication skills
- General farm infrastructure maintenance and repair skills including fences.
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and explore alternative farming methods.
