Carer Traineeship – Aged Care – Full-Time
$29.93 per hour + super + salary packaging.
Start Date: 6th July 2026. Studies commence 22nd July 2026.
Overview
Capecare is a leading provider of aged care and accommodation services in the South West region of Western Australia, with facilities in Busselton and Dunsborough. This traineeship offers a pathway to a career as a Residential Carer or Community Support Worker while you study for a Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) at Busselton TAFE.
Training Program
The program combines on‐the‐job training with classroom study. Initially you will alternate three days at TAFE and two days at Capecare, progressing to three days at Capecare towards the end of your studies. Full‐time hours are Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 4:30 pm at TAFE and 7 pm – 3 pm at Capecare. Onboarding begins on Monday, 6th July 2026.
Responsibilities
* Provide person‐centred care to older adults in residential or community settings.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
* Build and maintain relationships with residents and their families.
* Demonstrate empathy, reliability, and honesty in all interactions.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements
* Completed Year 11 of high school.
* Australian citizen or permanent resident.
* National Police Clearance Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle preferred.
