Gorilla Jobs is seeking a Locum Psychiatry Registrar for a 6-month period (Feb-Aug
For the full duration of the contract, you will be allocated to the acute inpatient unit, allowing you to get to know the team, systems and patient cohort and provide consistent care.
This suits a Psychiatry Registrar who is confident with inpatient work and is looking for regular, predictable locum shifts over several months.
Clinical Environment
* Ongoing experience in an acute adult inpatient mental health unit
* Exposure to a mix of acute psychosis, mood disorders, substance-related presentations and complex comorbidities
* Involvement in reviews, admissions, discharge planning and multidisciplinary meetings
* Regular contact with Consultants and nursing/allied health teams
* A stable, repeat roster that lets you plan around training, study or other work
Eligibility Criteria
* Current AHPRA General Registration
* PGY3+ with recent Psychiatry or mental health experience (inpatient experience preferred)
* Australian working rights
* Willingness to complete hospital credentialing and standard checks (e.g. Police Check, Working With Children Check, mandatory training)
