About the Role:

* The successful candidate will assist in mechanical engineering research, design, manufacture, construction, operation and maintenance of machines, manufacturing equipment, mechanical installations and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare technical drawings and plans under the direction of engineers.

2. Assist in designing mechanical equipment and plant.
">
">
3. Select tools and equipment for projects.
">
">
4. Assemble and install new and modified mechanical assemblies and hydraulic power systems.
">
">
5. Evaluate material costs and quantities, and machine requirements.
">
">
6. Perform and direct field and laboratory tests.
">
">
7. Analyse data, perform complex computations, and prepare diagrams.
">
">
8. Organise and supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant.
">
">
">
1. A Mechanical Engineering Technician qualification or equivalent is required.
">
">
2. A sound understanding of hydraulic systems, including fixed displacement, closed loop transmission, pressure and flow compensated, and electro proportional control, is necessary.
">
">
3. At least five years of relevant experience is required.
">
">
4. A good eye for detail is essential.
">
">
5. Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise are necessary.
">
">
6. The ability to work unsupervised is required.
">
">
7. A willingness to work remotely occasionally is desired.
