Position Information
Moree Secondary College is situated on Gamilaroi country and is part of the Connected Communities Strategy. It services the students from the agricultural region surrounding and within the township of Moree (town population 7,000). Our college services approximately 390 college students, of which, 67% identify as ATSI (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander).
The college is committed to creating engaging classrooms with staff who have a strong focus on explicit teaching, literacy and numeracy. We continue to create strong connections with the school community to improve attendance and engagement inclusive of Moree community groups, Moree Local AECG and external agencies.
Our school is located within the centre of Moree, which also hosts outstanding recreation, sporting, performing arts and shopping facilities. You can travel daily by air and train to Newcastle, the Hunter Valley and Sydney and by bus to Brisbane.

Specific Selection Criteria
- Approval and/or willingness to teach Generalist (Years 7-10)
- Capacity to implement effective classroom management strategies and contribute to differentiated teaching and learning programs to maximise student growth and promote high expectations for all students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively to foster positive relationships and a supportive learning culture within the school community.
Conditions
Successful applicants may be entitled to a relocation support payment of $5,000 to $8,000 for eligible applicants.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching prospect.
