Job Description:
The role of an Environmental Health Officer is to provide professional and technical assistance, information, advice, and reports on all matters related to public and environmental health in our region. The successful candidate will work closely with the Coordinator Environmental Health, Manager Development Services, and Chief Executive Officer to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and operational procedures.
This is a permanent full-time position working 38 hours per week. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of environmental health principles and practices.
Responsibilities:
* Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers by answering enquiries promptly and effectively.
* Process various applications and apply appropriate public health, environmental health, and environmental conditions.
* Undertake inspections and monitoring activities in accordance with statutory obligations and operational procedures.
