Are you ready to take the next step in your HR career and contribute to a purpose-driven organisation? We're seeking a passionate and proactive Human Resource Advisor to support our people and leaders with expert guidance, practical solutions, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
The role
Based in our Port Hedland or Karratha office, this role offers the opportunity to work closely with both corporate and operational teams, providing HR support across employee relations, compliance, policy development, and daily operations. Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll be a trusted advisor to staff and management, playing a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring our HR practices are effective, compliant, and aligned with best practice.
This is a local resident based role with regular travel between Port Hedland and Karratha sites required to build and maintain strong relationships with our operational teams.
Key Accountabilities
* Provide accurate, timely advice on HR matters including contracts, policies, and employee relations
* Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
* Assist in investigations, performance management, and conflict resolution
* Coach managers in leadership and disciplinary processes
* Maintain HRIS records and support HR reporting and analytics
* Contribute to HR projects and initiatives that drive engagement and improvement
* Ensure compliance with Fair Work and other relevant legislation
About You
You're a collaborative, solutions-focused HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment. You bring empathy, initiative, and a genuine desire to support others.
You'll have:
* Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Psychology or a related field
* 2–3 years' HR experience, ideally in the not-for-profit or Aboriginal Corporation sector
* Solid understanding of Fair Work legislation
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* HRIS experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office
* A growth mindset and a team-first attitude
* Willing and able to travel regionally to build strong connections with operational teams
