**Position overview**:
The Architectural Draftsperson will be responsible in creating and revising architectural drawings and plans based on design specifications provided by architects and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of design processes and excellent proficiency with drafting software.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings and plans using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ArchiCAD.
- Collaborate with architects and project managers to develop and refine project designs.
- Produce high-quality technical drawings including elevations, sections, layouts, and 3D models.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and company standards.
- Revise plans based on client feedback, architectural standards, and technical considerations.
- Perform quantity take-offs and basic cost estimates for design projects.
- Maintain organized records of all project documents and revisions.
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and construction teams to ensure consistency across all drawings.
- Stay updated with industry trends, drafting standards, and software advancements.
**Qualifications & Skills**:
- Diploma or Degree in Architectural Drafting, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software, especially AutoCAD and Revit. Familiarity with 3D modeling tools is an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Architectural Draftsperson or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of architectural and construction principles, methods, and materials.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
- Ability to interpret architectural sketches, designs, and blueprints.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
