Job Summary
Prepares and sets up tooling from extrusion schedule to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities
* Ensures enough dies are in the ovens at each press based upon production schedule.
* Recycles failed dies quickly.
* Cleans dies of aluminum residue by placing them in a caustic solution.
* Polishes dies as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent and several years of die correction experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Able to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
* Able to write simple correspondence.
* Able to perform basic arithmetic operations with units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
* Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
* Must possess a valid Forklift Operator's license and have prior forklift experience.
Physical Demands
The employee is regularly required to use their hands to finger, handle, and feel; stand and walk. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop or crouch. The employee is occasionally required to sit, talk, and hear; climb and balance. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 100 pounds.
