The Services Trade College Australia (STC) provides a range of national training programs for the Plumbing Industry, with campuses in Queensland and New South Wales. Owned by the Industry, PICAC (the Plumbing Climate Action Centre) strives to deliver high quality training, which is effective, timely and contributes to a well-trained, highly skilled plumbing workforce.
We are looking for an experienced Training Manager on a full-time basis to manage our training operations in Beenleigh, Queensland.
THE ROLE
As Training Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of training at our Queensland location. The Training Manager is a critical role to work closely with the Operations team and ensure training delivery outcomes are met.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage training schedules, in conjunction with the Trainer and Assessors across the PICAC Group.
- Ensure ongoing training compliance and driving audit outcomes.
- Working with Trainers on the completion of session plans, training materials and other ad hoc tasks required in the ongoing delivery of training
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to resolve trainer issues.
- Create a safe and positive learning environment ensuring that all training currently aligns with industry standards and the latest contemporary industry practices.
- Effectively demonstrate, coach and mentor apprentices through 3–4-year apprenticeships.
- Assist with activities associated with the running of the facility.
- Play a key role in establishing a collaborative, dynamic and innovative training team.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Drivers Licence
- Working with children check
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
Our ideal candidate will also have:
- Experience working with RTO Compliance including ASQA standards
- Extensive relationship establishment and management skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Basic computer skills and the ability to adapt to emerging technologies
- Demonstrate a passion for the Plumbing Industry and the willingness to excite the future generation of Plumbers
- Ability to work in a team
