We are seeking an experienced Contract Manager to manage downstream contracts and costs on a major infrastructure project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the project is in line with legislations, working closely with the Commercial Manager and mentoring Contract Administrators at different levels & Cost Engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing contracts, project costing and procurement
* Managing financial, contractual and commercial issues on the project and keeping management informed
* Assisting Project Managers in subcontractor and consultant management, reviewing and preparing incoming and outgoing contract/costing correspondence
* Mentoring and providing guidance to project-based contracts and commercial staff
* Preparing and managing all elements and materials for negotiation of claims
* Monitoring project schedules, variations and scope changes
* Maintaining strong relationships with major suppliers, subcontractors, customers and stakeholders
* Developing cost controls for project and reporting requirements
* Compliant with relevant project / contract documentation
To be successful, you must have at least 7 + years' experience as a Senior CA /QS in civil construction, with a proven track record of delivering results on major road projects. TMR experience or similar, RMS, TCCS etc is required for this role with a minimum project value of $40M.
This individual must be focused, a good team leader with a highly analytical approach and strong attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to build good relationships with the client and stakeholders.
