Job Title: Senior Electronics Specialist
Job Description
This position plays a key role in the development of mission-critical electronic components and subsystems. You will be responsible for building and assembling electronic components using various machinery and tools to ensure quality and proficiency in the completed product.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by reading work orders, following production drawings, or receiving verbal instructions.
* Crimps, stakes, screws, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
* Connect component lead wires to printed circuit boards or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
* May assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
* Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, and curing parts and assemblies.
* Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
* Performs on-line go-not-go testing and inspection using magnifying devices and electronic test equipment to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Minimum 6 months or related experience or specialized training necessary.
* Previous soldering experience or skills are mandatory.
* J-STD or IPC certification required.
* Mathematical skills required with emphasis on computing rates, ratios, and percentages.
* Ability to interpret bar graphs.
