We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our highly skilled and experienced purchasing team based in our Company's Head Office in Silverwater, New South Wales.
About the Role
As the Procurement Manager you will lead the Purchasing team and will be responsible for a number of strategic categories. This role reports into the Head of Purchasing and NPD.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Provide leadership & management of the Purchasing team
* Strategic Sourcing & Procurement - Lead sourcing & international buying across key procurement categories, including raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and finished goods.
* Supplier & Contract Management – Manage relationships with suppliers, ensuring ongoing value delivery and performance as well as pricing across global regions.
* Cross Functional Collaboration – Working closely with our demand planning team as well as other internal and external supply chain partners to achieve optimal outcomes for your categories.
* Risk, Efficiency & Compliance - Implement process improvements across purchasing systems and tools to enhance data accuracy, cost control, and visibility and ensure supplier adherence to VFB quality, food safety, sustainability and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for your function.
About You:
Ideally you will demonstrate:
* Senior-level experience in procurement, with significant experience in FMCG, coffee, food or beverage sectors.
* Strong background in global purchasing, with exposure to green coffee and/or agricultural commodities an advantage.
* Demonstrated success managing large supplier networks across multiple regions (Europe, Asia, USA).
* Experience managing a team in Procurement/purchasing and working with manufacturing, warehousing, and supply chain teams.
* Experience in international shipping, AQIS, customs compliance and freight forwarders
* General understanding of Food Standards legislation and QA certification principles (such as Haccp)
* Well-developed analytical and data interpretation skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
* Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple categories and priorities.
* Curious, commercially driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business.
* Able to build supplier partnerships that go beyond price—focused on long-term value.
