Specific Job Responsibilities
Forward Planning
· Prepare and maintain budgets, including monthly reporting against them; profit & Loss, balance sheet, cash flow
· Develop and maintain capital budget.
· Develop financial business plans and forecasts.
· Develop and utilise forward-looking, predictive models and activity-based financial analyses to provide insight into the organisation’s operations and business plans.
· Develop and execute analysis of various business initiatives (e.g., opening new operations, asset acquisition, new service launches).
· Participate in policy development as a member of the senior management team.
· Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the ED and make actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations.
· Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas.
Accounts
· Oversee cash, investment, and asset management.
· Oversee financing strategies and activities, as well as banking relationships.
· Oversee the treasury department to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.
· Oversee the preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements.
· Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
· Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting to financial partners
· Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
Risk Management
· Develop and maintain strong relationships with external agencies
· Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
· Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
· Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements
· Report risk issues to the ED.

Qualifications required:
Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, finance or related field
(MBA preferred)
Professional account designation (CA, CMA or CPA)
10+ years experience in a senior financial managerial position
Exceptional communications skills
Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
