Based in Alstonville, Northern NSW, Software North specialises in developing software solutions for the aged care industry. For over 20 years, we have built and maintained Payroll, Rostering, HR, and Billing software tailored to the unique needs of aged care providers. As we continue to grow and innovate, we are focusing on cloud-based development and currently working on several major projects, including integrating with government portals. The Role
We are offering a 6-month contract with the potential for extension for the right candidate. As a key member of our small development team, you will play a crucial role in integrating our systems with various government portals. You will be responsible for both developing new integrations and maintaining and enhancing existing ones. You will work in a collaborative, positive, and supportive environment, with excellent on-the-job guidance and training. A competitive salary will be offered, based on experience and expertise.

Responsibilities:
Develop and integrate new systems with government portals, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Maintain and improve existing integrations, troubleshooting issues and enhancing functionality.
Use your web development and debugging skills to resolve technical challenges quickly and effectively.
Work autonomously on assigned tasks while contributing to the success of the team.
Adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks to meet project deadlines.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in C-style languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python, C#).
Experience with HTML, SQL, and web development best practices.
Familiarity with declarative UI design, such as React.
Understanding of basic functional programming paradigms.
Experience with Docker and Git for version control and containerization.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
An eagerness to learn and a passion for working as part of a close-knit team.
Location:
Our preference is for a hybrid model, with the ability to come to the office some days. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Australia or have the appropriate visa status to work in Australia.
