About the role:
We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join our team on a Tier 1 infrastructure project, supporting ancillary mechanical assembly works.
In this role, you will be part of a high-performing team responsible for the precise assembly and installation of mechanical conveyor systems, utilising modern equipment and working to strict technical specifications and quality standards.
Your ability to interpret engineering drawings, perform accurate mechanical adjustments, and troubleshoot mechanical issues during commissioning will be critical to the success of the project.
This is a project-based, day shift role, ideal for candidates with a strong mechanical background and a proactive, safety-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
· Interpret and work from mechanical and engineering drawings
· Install, maintain, and fit fixed plant equipment including conveyors systems
· Transition from new build assembly to site-based maintenance and support
· Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications
· Adhere to all site safety protocols and promote a positive safety culture
· Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet project timelines
What You'll Need:
· Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent)
· Construction White Card (OH&S)
· Proven ability to read and interpret technical and mechanical drawings
· Working at Heights ticket (within 2 years) or willingness to obtain
· EWP, Scissor Lift, or Boom Lift tickets (desirable)
· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
· Solid commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship
