ABOUT MARLU Marlu is a multidisciplined engineering company within the WA mining and resources sector. We are an ever growing small business building contracts with multiple blue-chip clients for the provision of bulk haulage transport, maintenance, access and shutdown services. ABOUT THE ROLE This role is charged with supporting the Operations to improve the performance, compliance and profitability of the Mining division primarily in Western Australia. This role will lead the day-to-day operations of the workforce function, providing workforce forecasting, planning, mobilisation, movement amendments, reporting, training compliance and demobilisation services. The Workforce Planner will also be responsible for managing effective projects, maintenance, and turnaround/shutdown campaign services as relates to the workforce function. PRIMARY RESPOSIBILITIES Managing jobs in our workforce management system (OPMS). Plan and resource client requests, ensuring timely delivery per workflow timeline. Maintain communication with the operational team, directing resources as per schedule. Coordinate with Marlu senior leadership to confirm correctly required personnel are allocated to jobs and meet site requirements. Ensure clear communication between cross-functional teams (operations, compliance, recruitment, etc.). Control resource requests and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Engage with stakeholders to define job requirements and timelines, addressing any challenges impacting scope, resources, or deadlines. Report on resource levels, providing alternative solutions and revised timelines when delays occur. Organise travel, site access and compliance for all personnel mobilising to any given site if the mobe coordinator requires additional support Collaborate across business units, exemplifying core values and supporting change management Assisting in the ongoing building of the planning system as we make it more efficient across the business for all departments. Working in a high pressure and deadline driven environment. Liaising with the site leadership team regarding personnel/roster changes. Supporting other mobilisation requirements as needed. Daily tracking, prioritise and categorizing planning inbox. Developing strategic planning methods for different clients, industries, skills or time of jobs. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS Internal Operations Team Accounts IT Helpdesk Payroll Project Manager Onsite Leadership SHEQ team External Labour Hire Subcontractors Client Mobilisation team OPMS – Planning system support • Travel Providers (Qantas, Virgin, accom providers etc) Clientele compliance support provider MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION Experienced as a Workforce Coordinator, Workforce Planning or Snr Resource/Mobilisation Advisor Experienced working in a large and complex organisation Experienced in establishing a mobilisation processes and frameworks Experienced in managing the planning and coordinating of large. high volume mobilisations and shutdown events Communicate in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders. Prior experience managing mobilisation processes for clientele such as Rio Tinto, BHP, Roy Hill, Newmont etc Demonstrated Management and Organisational Skills. Demonstrated internal client management skills. Strong People Skills, Computer Skills, and demonstrates knowledge of Company, Client and Industrial Regulations.
