About the opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to contribute to the provision of high-quality research support to the externally funded multi‑agency clinical trial "The Optimal Implementation of Antimicrobial Stewardship in General Practice" (OPTIMAS‑GP). This study investigates the most effective means of implementing evidence‑based antimicrobial stewardship activities in general practice surgeries.

In this part‑time (0.7 FTE) fixed‑term (12 months) role based at the Launceston Clinical School, you will recruit and support Tasmanian general practice trial sites, liaise with the broader multi‑site research team, and provide research assistance support.


What you'll do

* Support recruitment, onboarding and troubleshooting at trial sites.
* Assist with qualitative data collection, analysis, monitoring and reporting.
* Work collaboratively with research staff at other sites and provide professional, timely advice and support to stakeholders.
* Manage data quality, storage and access in accordance with relevant research and ethics policies.
* Contribute to research project reports, publications and other project materials.


What we're looking for

* Degree‑level qualification in a health‑related area with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Demonstrated expertise in conducting quantitative and qualitative research studies.
* Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Experience preparing scientific and management submissions, ethics applications and consumer/stakeholder engagement.
* Practical experience with Microsoft Office suite, including intermediate‑level Excel.
* Current Australian driver's licence.


Salary details

Appointment to this role will be at Research Assistant Level 1 and will have a total remuneration package of $97,342 pro‑rata, comprising a base salary of $83,198 pro‑rata plus 17 % superannuation.
