UQ Business School in the Business, Economics and Law Faculty Part-time (60%), fixed-term position for up to 12 months Base salary will be in the range $80,523.29 - $89,505.38 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5) Based at our vibrant St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity This is a part-time opportunity for an experienced Project Officer to support a team of academics in delivering on research projects with high impact on policy and practice. This interdisciplinary project team, led by Professor Paula Jarzabkowski in the UQ Business School, is conducting a program of funded research to evaluate how disaster mitigation policies and practices help build individual and community resilience. In this role, you will support the delivery of projects by completing a range of activities including coordinating project planning, project communication, stakeholder engagements, managing project budgets, project documentation, project deliverables, and other duties as required. Key responsibilities will include: Project Responsibilities Supporting the successful delivery and administration of all aspects of the project cycle, including planning, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation to support the successful completion of projects: Developing and maintaining project-related standard operating procedures and assurance of standards and logistics Coordinating the development and management of project documentation Organising and supporting the delivery of project-related activities, events, consultation activities and meetings Undertaking complex data entry, retrieval, and document management Using project-management software and applications Other duties as requested by the supervision Project Office and/or Administrative Responsibilities Coordinating project communication, including the drafting of emails, documents, and other materials. Coordinating a range of administrative activities to support the project team. Providing general project-related committee support. Utilising a range of desktop-based programs and management information systems. Financial Management Coordinate the project's financial administration processes. Support the coordination of the project budget. Stakeholder Management Coordinate stakeholder engagements, including planning, developing materials, and facilitating stakeholder participation in the project. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to maintain important relationships with clients. You should enjoy working with a team to help deliver on projects that have high impact on policy and practice. A degree or diploma in a relevant discipline with subsequent experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education training. Previous experience working as part of a project team or in a similar role would be highly advantageous. Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Project Management and multi-tasking experience, with an agile and flexible approach. Problem Identification and Solution Driven. Excellent verbal, written and stakeholder engagement communication skills. Experience using project management programs or the ability to quickly learn these skills. Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service.
