Lead Financial Services Lawyer
This is a high-impact role for an experienced lawyer to provide legal guidance across the full spectrum of banking and corporate operations.
You will be instrumental in driving the organisation's compliance, governance and risk posture while enabling strategic and operational goals.
This role requires a commercially minded lawyer with broad in-house financial services experience, ready to navigate enterprise-wide legal issues—from mergers and employment law to IP/IT procurement and company secretarial matters.
* Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice across banking, corporate, and financial services matters
* Lead contract negotiation and management, including SLAs, supplier arrangements, finance agreements and corporate initiatives
* Navigate a complex regulatory landscape and ensure compliance with relevant regimes
* Support business units on risk management and dispute resolution strategies
Absolutely essential are expertise in consumer and retail banking law, stakeholder management skills, ability to influence at executive level, collaborative approach to legal problem-solving, and familiarity with customer-owned institutions.
The successful candidate will have at least 3–7 years' post-qualification experience in financial services, banking or corporate law. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are also required.
