Business Operations and Procurement Advisor
Clerk Grade: 7/8
Salary Range: $113,574 – $125,720 plus superannuation
Employment Type: Full-Time, 12-month Temporary opportunity with possibility of becoming ongoing
Location: Haymarket or Parramatta with hybrid working arrangement including office attendance at both locations
Division & Team: People and Culture, Office of the Chief People Officer
Responsibilities
* Lead procurement and business operations advisory services to support strategic outcomes across the Division
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies and manage procurement risks within budget
* Use data and analytics to support financial forecasting and improve decision-making processes
About the team
Join a dynamic and collaborative team within the People & Culture division, where we support the Department of Customer Service in delivering high-quality procurement, planning, forecasting and business operations services. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure compliance, efficiency, and value-for-money outcomes across the organisation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Strong experience in procurement and contract management, with a deep understanding of government frameworks and policies
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to tailor advice and influence decision-making, including at senior executive levels
* Proficiency in using analytical tools and systems to support business planning and financial management
* A proactive approach to identifying and communicating emerging risks and opportunities
* Capability to coach and support staff on procurement processes and business systems
* Demonstrated capabilities with using Microsoft Excel (minimum intermediate level) will be strongly regarded
