Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused Education Manager for our Defence Delivery Business Area.
About the Role
As the Education Manager 2 - Electronics, your key responsibilities include:
* Coordinate and delegate tasks to the team to deliver operational outcomes including Teacher Performance, timetabling, resource allocation, teacher loads and student progress
* Manage and mitigate risks to the project to ensure contractual obligations are met and escalation process is implemented, as required, within agreed timelines
* Ability to be agile and responsive to all stakeholders and remain solution focused when problems arrive
* Lead and manage teachers including supervision, performance, professional and vocational currency and development requirements
* Participate in the development and implementation of student retention strategies that will improve learning outcomes across the school
* Examine and make recommendations on alternative flexible delivery strategies
* Ensure high quality and current resources, teaching materials and assessments are used in teaching and learning activities
* Ensure that teaching materials and resources meet all regulatory standards, training packages and related requirements
* Maximise student engagement, retention, satisfaction and a positive teaching environment through collaboration with the Defence Delivery team and key stakeholders
* Implement methods and strategies to support learners including mentoring and work preparation programs, study skills support, alternative delivery and assessment methodologies, and communication strategies
About You
You are a highly motivated individual with demonstrated successful experience in the delivery and development of contemporary educational programs, approaches and developments that meet learner, industry and community needs.
This role will be located at HMAS Cerberus.
Successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and should be willing to complete pre-employment screening and obtain Security clearance issued by an authorized vetting agency.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or qualifications that meet the Standards for RTOs 2025
* Adult Teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher
* Registration with relevant professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
* Vocational qualifications relevant to or above the level required and industry currency
* Registration with professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline
