Job Title: Power Station Support Specialist
Job Description: As a Power Station Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to support the smooth operation of power stations. This role involves working closely with skilled teams and experienced management to deliver results in challenging work environments.
This is a casual position at various major power station outages within the Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley region, NSW, with potential for ongoing project/shutdown opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting NDT Technicians and Inspectors to conduct required inspections and testing of plant and machinery
• Documenting findings in a clear and concise format following instruction work packs
• Conducting replications of metallic surfaces in accordance with SRG procedures
• This position may require interstate and intrastate travel
The successful applicant will ideally have:
• Hold an industry White Card
• Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and Gas Test Atmosphere (required)
• Experience working in mining, industrial or power settings (advantage)
• Previous experience within Manufacturing, Mechanical and Automotive trades (desirable)
• A high attention to detail, ability to follow direction and adhere to Work Health and Safety regulations
• Ability to work effectively within a team with strong communication skills and a willingness to challenge yourself and learn
• The ability to successfully pass a Pre-employment medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screening
