Educational Technologist - Curtin University
Curtin University has a continuing full-time (1.0 FTE) opportunity forEducational Technologistto join our team in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
In this role, you will support the development, coordination, and implementation of innovative learning solutions under the guidance of the Director of ISOLT.
You will ensure effective instructional design, quality control, and adherence to educational standards and timelines.
Salary: $106,094 – $113,913 (G07) pro-rated, plus 17% superannuation.
Responsibilities
Design engaging and interactive learning materials and assessment methods in collaboration with academic staff.
Ensure effective instructional design, quality control, and adherence to educational standards and timelines.
Selection Criteria
Completion of a relevant degree with considerable relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated expertise in educational technologies, including PebblePad, Adobe, MS Teams and Copilot.
Examples of leadership in the innovative development of subject and course-level designs.
Proven expertise in how educational technologies can be harnessed to support learning.
Proven expertise in contributing to the design of innovative higher education courses and units through application of educational technologies.
Demonstrated capability and experience in professional development with particular focus on capacity building and resource development.
Demonstrated proficiency in learning management systems, and online learning for usability, accessibility and quality assurance.
Evidence of engagement with the scholarship of learning and teaching.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively within teams, including in challenging environments.
Demonstrated effective project management and organisational skills including the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks/projects to achieve project outcomes successfully and on time.
Area Specific Criteria
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with key educational technological tools including Adobe, MS Teams for Education, Echo365, PebblePad.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse project progress to inform improvements.
Adaptability: Capacity to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
Time Management: Strong ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
