About Our Client
This division has responsibility over a range of high risk, high investment infrastructure assets (fixed and mobile) that enable support and services to be provided by the operational teams. Their remit is to strategically plan and deliver security and systems, lifecycle facility and asset management as well as major and minor infrastructure project development and delivery.
Job Description
* The Project Manager is responsible for coordinating, delivering, and reporting on capital works projects and maintenance programs across the Agency.
* The role oversees day to day capital works activities, ensures compliance with whole of government frameworks.
* A key focus is maintaining effective project governance, monitoring performance, and ensuring continuous improvement in facilities and asset management practices.
* This position requires you to prepare high level correspondence, briefing materials, Cabinet submissions, and comprehensive financial and operational reports.
* You will be supporting the development and annual review of the Agency's Asset Strategic Plan, ensuring business units are engaged in planning, performance measurement, and feedback processes.
* The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, including collaboration with external service providers and cross agency partners to progress shared initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful candidate for this role will have the following:
* Advanced financial analysis skills, with the ability to monitor budgets, assess cost impacts, and evaluate investment proposals.
* Proficiency in capital works delivery, including experience managing value‐driven building projects.
* Expertise in program, project, and asset management, ensuring alignment with legislative, policy, and governance frameworks.
* Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, the ability to interpret data, assess risk, and recommend effective solutions.
* High‐level communication skills, including preparing clear, concise, and authoritative written material.
* Capability in risk assessment, negotiation, and issue resolution, particularly in multi‐stakeholder environments.
* Proficiency with office technologies, project management tools, and digital collaboration platforms.
* A trade qualification or trade background would be highly regarded.
