A rare opportunity exists at Frederick Irwin Anglican School in Mandurah for a highly organised, enthusiastic, relationship focused professional for the role of School Operations Coordinator - Primary. This is a critical role in supporting the smooth operations of a multi-campus, co-educational K-12 School. You will have excellent communication skills, be customer service focused, collaborative, able to use initiative and work unsupervised. Reporting to the Head of Primary and working with the Principal, Heads of School and Deputies you will collaborate to ensure the smooth running of the operations of the school.

About the role
The School Operations Coordinator - Primary is responsible for whole school operational tasks and ensures the smooth and consistent running of the school across both Meadow Springs and Halls Head Campuses. The ideal candidate will work well with staff and have an eye for streamlining and process improvement. Alongside being compassionate, caring and demonstrate excellent communication, organisation and creativity. This role includes 0.1 FTE to 0.2 FTE of relief teaching.

This is a part-time (0.6FTE) position for 12 months to cover Maternity Leave.

Duties include:

* Daily manage staff relief for Primary teaching, support and administration staff.
* Support examination relief requirements as well as relief to support any camps.
* Administer the basic work patterns (BWPs) and liaise with payroll and Heads of School.
* Review, manage and implement the operational procedures and processes of the School, and ensure they align with the educational goals, mission, vision and values of the school.
* Review, develop and maintain School Policies and Procedures to remain compliant with the Registration Standards for Non-Government Schools.
* Assist the Head of Primary in the creation and ongoing maintenance of the Primary timetable annually.
* Assist the Head of Primary in the creation and management of the digital Primary calendar for the school community.
* Create and manage the Primary Duty roster.
* Hold responsibility for compliance tracking and ensure currency with the requirements of statutory and regulatory bodies.
* Oversee, review and maintain the risk register.
* Promote a safe, learning and working environment through compliance with WHS requirements, recording and responding to staff and student incidents/accidents, and maintain highly effective Emergency Management systems and procedures.
* Oversee the annual review and coordination of the student diaries and booklists to ensure consistency and efficient pricing and co-ordination.
* Oversee, manage and co-ordinate the annual school photo days for the whole school.
* Responsible for the planning of whole school events (including Founders' Day, Carols, ANZAC, Remembrance Day, School Photos, Anniversary Events).
* School contact for OLNA and NAPLAN and co-ordinate testing across the school liaising with IT, Heads of School, Deputies and Enrichment Co-ordinators.
* Oversee and manage new student onboarding including liaising with enrolments, IT, relevant sub-school for timetable, house information and other relevant staff. Liaise with parents to ensure medical plans are in place, Consent2Go has been completed, SEQTA Engage is subscribed and student welcome and induction organised.
* Review and update any information for Consent2Go and communicate with relevant sub-school (updating parenting information, updated addresses, medical etc).
* Any other duties as directed by the Principal or Head of Primary.

Working conditions

* Ability to work from 7.00am – 11.30pm Monday – Friday
* School phone is provided
* The role will be 46 weeks per annum

This role will commence as soon as possible or by negotiation.
